HAPPY NEW YEARRRR!
I vaguely remember when the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey was released … never saw it, but do remember thinking, “that is forEVER away” and just the mere thought of the years turning over into the 2000’s seemed fa-reeeeaky and odd to me. Didn’t dwell on it much as I was busy hanging at the Ranchmart Theater watching movies like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Yours, Mine and Ours. To this day, I can sing Chitty’s theme song, (be prepared next Monday!)
And here we are: 2014 … YIKES and HOORAY, I say to that fact. Yikes, because I am 54 and the years have flown without my permission. Hooray, because I am blessed to be here, to be 54, to have fun and whacky family and friends and, without question, the best job in the land as it allows me to work beside some of the best people on the planet AND it has provided the opportunity to get to know all y’all.
Thank you, for continuing to get your sweet selves outta bed on Monday mornings, for your kind words, for your suggestions, for the treats you bring us, for waiting in line, for helping other guests, for sharing your stories and for making the sun shine in our world even when it’s raining 🙂
And justsoyaknow, we are setting up our first sale of 2014 this week with the sale being held Monday & Tuesday, January 20 and 21st. Obvi the email will go out at the end of this week … hopefully will still remember how to write one!
