One family, 2 homes (1 mile apart), 2 sales in 2 days!  This sweet couple is moving to California and selling 97.3% of everything they own … we’ve never seen a sale like this and KNOW y’all will have as much fun as we’ve had setting them up!

** Sale #1 of 2 is located in the Briarcliff Subdivision, just North of Downtown KC. From the downtown Broadway Bridge, go North on US-169 to the NW Briarcliff Parkway exit and go right/east. Then down about 3-ish blocks, take a right on N Briarcliff ROAD and the sale home is about a half a mile down on the right. Address will be posted by 4:30am on Wednesday morning on estatesales.net.

WEDNESDAY……………………… 7:30am – 5pm (3-5p@25% off)
THURSDAY…………………………. 8am to 12pm @ 50% off

** Second sale will run the same days, 1 mile apart, begins at 9am each day – info follows this listing.

Homeowner: “We’re moving to Cali and selling it all!”
Me: “I’m on my way!”

** Homeowner and his son are staying in the home until the sale is over. Please respect their privacy by staying behind the line marker until the sale begins. All valuables will be off property until sale day.

** There will be items under the carport. Please do not go into that area until the sale begins.

** If you get to the sale before it opens and you don’t feel like standing in line, please leave a marker of some kind (ex: pen, soda can) by the tape on the driveway that says “Line Starts Here”. You may then go back to your car or kibitz with other guests but if you leave the area you will lose your place in line. Thems the rules.

** ALL items at the sale will be tagged with prices, including the cars. All items will be offered on first come-first served basis. Bids are welcome on any item over $75 and calls will be made to the highest bidders on Wednesday evening after 5pm.

THESE SALES are GRAND FUN with a crazy good selection and variety of everything! Let’s begin with the cars and such– following information was provided by the homeowner:

  • Blue 1989 Mercedes 560SL: Odometer 125,465. History as I know it: 1st owner was a lady from Mission Hills who traded it in to Barron.  2nd owners bought it from Barron and I purchased it from them.  I replaced anything that was an issue or could be such as all rubber mounts – they were okay, but changed them. Put new wheels and tires on her too. She has basically been stored since. She has a hard top and soft top though the soft top needs to be replaced because it is the original.  Interior is in excellent condition.  No cracks in dash.  Only real wear is the driver’s seat, which would be expected. Has the original tool kit.  **UPDATE: Have title.
  • 1978 White Volkswagon 1511 Convertible. Have entire maintenance service history. 48,950 original miles.  Top in excellent condition.  Currently in shop getting new fuel line. It has been repainted one time, but not unusual for a car of this age. ** UPDATE: New fuel line as of 5/12/17.  Title is on it’s way.
  • 1970 Karmann Ghia convertible.  California car with great pan. This is more of a project in motion.  Odometer shows 29,771.  1500cc motor.  ** UPDATE: Working on getting title.  Wants to run but not there yet.
  • John Deere 420 riding mower/tractor: 1989, 1484 hrs  60” deck – new spindles, blades, belt and new tires.
